Runwell began life started in 1935 as a scrap metal workshop called “Aiba Dotetsu-ten” in Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan, an area famous for metalworking for centuries. In 1963, after investing in new forges, they began making tools for cars and agricultural machinery. In the late 1980s, they experimented with new materials and techniques and in 2011, their new brand RUNWELL was born. A combination of traditional methods and experience from making custom tools for major corporations resulted in a level of quality worthy of the 'Made in Japan' label.
